Chair Massage

In today’s workplace, it is common for people to sit in the same position for long periods of time, which can lead to poor posture creating tension and pain in the back, neck and shoulders. This type of massage may be extremely effective in such an environment.

It is also useful for clients who want a massage but don’t want the fuss of getting undressed and covered in oil, those who are unable to lie on their backs for a long period of time and people who have busy schedules, limiting their relaxation time.

What is it?

Chair Massage is a fully clothed, non oil treatment which includes massage of the back, shoulders, neck, arms and hands. Clients will be comfortably seated on an ergonomically designed massage chair, while the therapist employs classical massage techniques and pressure work to target and relieve muscular tension in the body, reduce stress levels and improve alertness.

What does the therapist do?

During the treatment, the therapist will treat about 100 specific stress relief points on the back, neck, head, arms and shoulders.

Potential benefits of the treatment:

  • Alleviates muscular tension found in the neck and shoulders caused by long hours at the computer.
  • Stimulates endorphins, the body’s natural feel good chemicals.
  • Helps to boost the immune and circulatory systems, leading to less time off work and greater productivity.
  • Helps to relieve stress and tension headaches.

You can chose between a massage lasting 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. After treatment, you may feel refreshed, relaxed and better able to focus and concentrate.
